BEYOND MUSIC – Let’s unite the world with music

BEYOND MUSIC is an invitation-based community for professional musicians, composers, singers & songwriters representing all cultures and music styles. Founded in 2018 by the non-profit Swiss Beyond Foundation and Co-Founder Tina Turner. The aim is to jointly develop innovative pieces of music across cultures and genres. The most unusual music formations are honoured each year at the Beyond Music Project with 80,000 US dollars in financial awards. In addition, the best pieces of music form the Beyond Music album, which will be designed by alternating renowned producers. Let’s celebrate “oneness” in its cultural diversity and create the music of tomorrow!

The first album was created in 2019 under the Artistic Direction of multiple Grammy winner Larry Klein. Out of 110 submissions to the first Beyond Music Project, 10 collaborations were selected for the album Vol. 1. 23 artists from 17 countries were flown in to the famous “Studios La Fabrique” in the South of France. They were accompanied by Larry Klein and a crack studio band (Adrian Utley, Ed Harcourt, Dean Parks, Manu Katché, Clive Deamer, Dan Lutz). The album BEYOND MUSIC Volume One “Same Sky” was released in August 2019. It landed at #1 on the iTunes World Music Album chart in the U.S. and Top10 on the European charts.

The platform is financed by the Swiss Beyond Foundation, a registered non-profit organization, supporting projects that unite cultures through music in order to foster cross-cultural understanding, awareness, dialog and respect. With their projects, the Beyond Foundation wants musicians from all over the world to inspire each other, to work together and to create a worldwide team spirit of togetherness and compassion.
